Academic Endocrinologist (Position 3-309-1288).
The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a clinician educator. This position will have a primary clinical focus at the University of Maryland Midtown Campus, providing outpatient endocrinology services and inpatient consultative care to a diverse patient population. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team including diabetes educators, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists, and will play an active role in medical student, resident, and endocrinology fellow education at this site. Opportunities exist to participate in community-based initiatives in diabetes and metabolic health, as well as clinical and quality improvement research. Responsibilities
Provide outpatient endocrinology services and inpatient consultative care at the Midtown Campus as part of a multidisciplinary team. Join a multidisciplinary team including diabetes educators, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists. Play an active role in medical student, resident, and endocrinology fellow education at this site. Participate in community-based initiatives in diabetes and metabolic health, as well as clinical and quality improvement research. Qualifications
Medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent). BE/BC in Endocrinology (Board Eligible or Board Certified). Eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland. Compensation and Benefits
The expected faculty rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher; final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $169,988 (min) and $260,000 (max). This salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate\'s geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
