Director of Adult Full Service Partnership (FSP) Services — DMH funded Full Service Partnership teams providing integrated, wrap-around services to individuals with mental health needs and other potential co-occurring conditions who are experiencing poverty. The Director is responsible for delivering quality care to members; assessing program needs; setting strategic priorities; program development; ensuring program objectives are met; and coaching and mentoring an interdisciplinary staff. The director serves as a key liaison with partnering agencies, the City of Long Beach, funders, and members of the local community; and plays a key role in building relationships with partners and stakeholders connected with the ISC including new social enterprise initiatives. Compensation : $90,000 - $100,000 annualized (The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.) Essential duties and responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight to Full Service Partnership (FSP) program teams, ensuring excellent care and services are provided to members/clients and ensuring compliance with the ACT model, DMH, and MHALA standards. Provide ongoing strategic direction, support and training to social service staff; lead the development and refinement of site programs and procedures. Provide guidance to staff in the development of comprehensive recovery and discharge plans; ensure services are appropriate, integrated and delivered with respect for member needs and choices. Establish and maintain partnerships with community resources that will benefit member/client needs. Collaborate with the program directors’ team to support agency-wide strategic program initiatives and foster collaboration with other departments. Work with agency leadership (Development, Finance, Evaluation/Contracts, Training, Real Estate, HR, Policy) on department initiatives and issues. Recruit, train and mentor staff. Facilitate regular all-staff and department leadership meetings. Foster transparent communication and ensure input from team members; articulate strategic direction to department staff and address questions and concerns. Lead development and implementation of a transition plan for moving to a new site. Monitor and analyze the program budget and billing goals in alignment with funding streams and fiscal targets. Oversee program data reporting for timely and accurate submission; ensure ongoing QA of member files and facilities; ensure notes and data collection are complete and accurate in the database/e-charts through ongoing chart reviews. Lead planning and attend administrative meetings as required by funding sources. Position requirements
Strong leadership and mentoring skills; excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and manage stress in a fast-paced environment. At least five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a social service agency. Excellent verbal and written communication, tact and diplomacy; strong relationship-building skills; ability to communicate effectively in large groups. Outstanding team-building and facilitation skills; ability to build consensus and seek input. Extensive experience working with individuals experiencing mental health needs, physical health problems, substance use problems, poverty, and homelessness. Knowledge and experience in the mental health field. Ability to handle complex crisis situations. Proven ability to supervise and lead diverse staff with a wide range of skills and competencies. Experience developing and evaluating program models and implementing innovative programs. Knowledge of community resources and experience building community relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; budgeting experience preferred. Flexible work schedule to include some evenings or weekends when necessary. Driving with a valid Class C license, own vehicle, proof of valid automobile insurance, and eligibility to be insured by MHALA liability insurance are conditions of employment. TB clearance and annual re-testing are conditions of continued employment. COVID-19 vaccinations or booster shots are not currently required, but may become a requirement in the future; non-compliance with agency policies may result in termination.
