Vestibular Audiologist in Miami, Florida The University of Miami Health System is initiating a search for a Professor of Vestibular Audiologist. Essential Job Functions
Provides Diagnostic Audiology and Rehabilitation services Administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as speech perception, air and bone conduction, otoacoustic emissions and electrophysiology Discrimination tests, to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment Performs high frequency audiometry Provides coverage for the Neurodiagnostic clinic for at least 20% of clinical Actively participates in the education of externs, fellows, students and onboarding audiologists, engaging in clinical teaching of graduate students Performs administrative and committee responsibilities as assigned from time to time by the Chairman or Chief of Service, which may include participation in, or organization of, continuing medical education courses in provider area of specialty Participate in divisional quality control projects and implementations Develops a regional and eventually national presence as a clinical leader through participation in national and regional meetings Travel to satellite clinics may be required Flexibility to cover clinics in the absence of a co-worker for the core and designated subspecialty Takes add-on audiological evaluations appointments as needed, from the ENT clinic Qualifications
Doctorate of Audiology degree required One year of audiologist-related experience is preferred Seniority level
