Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO)

The ACNO assists the Chief Nursing Officer in executive-level management of resources, strategic planning, and development of policies and procedures that align with the organization's mission and vision. As an ACNO, you will collaborate with the CNO to formulate policies and procedures consistent with recognized standards of professional practice and regulatory standards, maintain authority and responsibility for nursing services, and ensure continuous performance improvement initiatives are designed to measure and improve the quality of care in line with organizational priorities. You will work with other care and support departments to foster open communication and mutual problem-solving, initiate and participate in joint performance improvement activities, and actively manage projects, tasks, and budgeting by identifying opportunities to reduce non-value costs. You will participate in planning activities related to renovation or new construction of patient care areas, collaborate with nursing educators to address learning needs, and ensure proper preparation for oriented staff to become independent practitioners. You will develop and maintain relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers to set goals and develop action plans for patient care or system improvements. You may perform other duties as assigned and will take on projects or task groups as needed. Qualifications
You will have the following: Bachelor’s degree in nursing; Licensed Registered Nurse with a current Massachusetts license; unrestricted RN license; Inpatient Psychiatry experience; 5+ years of experience in management and supervisory nursing roles; most recent 3 of the last 5 years of leadership in a direct leadership role in a hospital setting or direct patient care environment (or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience).
