Position Summary South Shore Health is seeking a visionary leader and relationship builder to serve as the

Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO)

for our

Parent-Child Division . Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the ACNO collaborates with colleagues, executive leadership, and clinical teams to shape the future of pediatric, neonatology, and maternity care. This is a unique opportunity to lead high-performing teams, develop strategic initiatives, and drive excellence across the care continuum. The ACNO will be responsible for fostering a culture focused on quality, safety, employee engagement, patient-centered outcomes, and fiscal responsibility. The ideal candidate will bring deep clinical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to advancing equity and innovation in healthcare delivery. In this pivotal role, you will: Oversee clinical care and operations for inpatient maternal-child services, including Labor & Delivery, NICU, Pediatrics, and collaborate with outpatient services such as the Bridge Clinic and Maternal Fetal Medicine. Lead strategic initiatives to enhance care delivery, transitions of care, and community partnerships. Uphold professional practice standards guided by ANA, AWHONN, NANN, and SPN. Promote nursing excellence, talent development, and a culture of inclusion and accountability. Utilize data and analytics to evaluate outcomes and drive performance improvement. Represent the CNO when needed and serve as a liaison for statewide and professional initiatives. We seek an authentic, results-driven leader with a passion for patient care, people development, and innovation. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of clinical expertise and leadership in one of the Parent-Child areas: Neonatal Intensive Care, Labor & Delivery, or Pediatrics. An MSN or MS with BSN is required; a Doctorate is strongly preferred. South Shore Health is located in Weymouth, MA, 17 miles south of Boston.
