Base pay range
$130,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr The General Superintendent of Concrete Self-Perform is the field leader responsible for managing all concrete construction operations across multiple project sites for a general contractor. This role will provide strategic oversight and direct supervision to all field crews, ensuring exceptional safety, schedule adherence, quality, budget control, and efficient self-perform concrete work delivery. Key Responsibilities
Direct, supervise, and coordinate the day-to-day field operations of self-perform concrete construction projects, including layout, forming, placing, finishing, and curing. Oversee and train field leaders (Superintendents, Foremen), manage crew assignments, and ensure all work meets project objectives and company standards. Develop, monitor, and enforce work schedules; optimize manpower and equipment resources in alignment with project milestones. Ensure total jobsite safety by implementing best practices, leading toolbox talks, enforcing OSHA policies, and promptly addressing hazards or violations. Oversee quality control procedures; regularly inspect work, resolve field challenges, and guarantee complete compliance with project specifications. Coordinate material orders, equipment deliveries, and work with suppliers and subcontractors to maintain uninterrupted workflow. Communicate proactively with project managers, estimation teams, clients, and other stakeholders regarding project status, issues, and solutions. Lead productivity improvement initiatives for self-perform work and benchmark production against company standards. Participate in company training programs, implement emerging technologies, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Uphold the company values and standards for safety, ethics, customer service, and field leadership. Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years in the concrete construction trade, with at least 5 years in a leadership role as Superintendent or Foreman. Proven expertise in self-perform concrete operations across commercial/institutional sectors. Strong skills in workforce supervision, planning, scheduling, and field productivity management. Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and industry standard project documents. Solid knowledge of OSHA safety standards, with a commitment to a safe work environment. Experience conducting meetings, trainings, and working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams. Demonstrated ability to solve jobsite challenges promptly. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Preferred Skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Familiarity with project management software (Excel, Outlook, MS Project, BlueBeam). Track record of delivering high-quality concrete work on time and within budget. Seniority level
