Academic Cardiologists – Cardiac Imaging Salary Range: Assistant Professor: $284,660 - $433,298 per year; Associate Professor: $304,620 - $464,612 per year; Professor: $304,016 - $466,429 per year The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank who specialize in Cardiac Imaging. Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient clinic and inpatient service, cardiac imaging reading, and cardiology consultation at Hyde Park locations and possible off-site locations like River East. Other duties include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. Outpatient clinic and inpatient service responsibilities in cardiac imaging.

Cardiac imaging reading and cardiology consultation.

Teaching and supervision of trainees and students; scholarly activity.

Academic rank and compensation depend on qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board Certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, and 4) have training and experience in advanced echocardiography and/or cardiac MRI and/or cardiac CT.

Qualifications and Preferences

Medical Doctorate or equivalent; eligible for medical licensure in Illinois.

Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.

Training and experience in advanced echocardiography and/or cardiac MRI and/or cardiac CT.

Interest in cardiac imaging research; experience in echo guidance of structural heart disease interventions and in cardiac MR/CT/PET is welcomed.
