Banner Health, in partnership with the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix, is actively recruiting a fellowship-trained Endovascular Neurosurgeon to join our Clinical Faculty team at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center (BTMC) in Glendale, Arizona. We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative neurosurgeon with expertise in endovascular neurosurgical techniques to help build and expand our growing neurovascular program within a supportive, academically affiliated community hospital setting.

About Banner Thunderbird Medical Center BTMC is a 595-bed acute-care hospital that has proudly served the Northwest Valley for over 25 years. As a newly designated Level I Adult Trauma Center, BTMC provides comprehensive care for complex neurovascular and trauma-related injuries. The medical center features state-of-the-art surgical suites, advanced neuroimaging, a robust neurology and stroke program, and a dedicated neuro ICU.

Position Highlights

Engage in a growing, robust endovascular/vascular neurosurgery practice, addressing complex cerebrovascular conditions such as intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, ischemic strokes, and other vascular pathologies.

Perform advanced minimally invasive procedures, including but not limited to:

Mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke

Endovascular coiling and stenting for aneurysm management

Embolization techniques for AVMs and dural arteriovenous fistulas

Carotid artery angioplasty and stenting

Cerebral and spinal angiography

Work alongside a multidisciplinary team comprising neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuroradiologists, and critical care specialists to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Contribute to the education and mentorship of residents and medical students through the University of Arizona's neurosurgery residency program. Opportunities for research and scholarly activities are encouraged and supported.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree with eligibility for Arizona medical licensure by the start date.

Board-certified (preferred) or board-eligible in Neurosurgery

Completion of an accredited fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery.

Demonstrated proficiency in both open and endovascular neurosurgical techniques.

Commitment to academic excellence and resident education.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in managing high-acuity neurovascular cases in a Level I trauma center setting.

Interest in developing and leading clinical research initiatives within the department.
