The post holder will be part of the paediatric radiology team and deliver high quality diagnostic imaging services across the Trust. Additional subspecialty interests may be accommodated, e.g. paediatric interventional imaging. Candidates with an interest in paediatric intervention will be supported with training as required. The Trust is a tertiary referral centre for paediatrics with a large neonatal unit and paediatric intensive care. The service is delivered at the Horton and Oxford Hospitals. The post holder will be willing to work at any of the Trust’s locations as required, with travel remunerated. Working for our organisation

The Radiology Directorate supports flexible working arrangements for consultant radiologists, with home-reporting workstations to support on-call provision and elective reporting. The Directorate is exploring flexible working patterns to aid service delivery and work-life balance. Paediatric radiologists are a strong team that collaborates to improve service delivery. The Trust has installed Insignia PACS and has image-sharing agreements with regional hospitals to support MDT meetings and access to comparative images. The paediatric radiology team welcomes development of subspecialty interests and training where needed. Person specification
Qualifications/Training
FRCR or equivalent CCT in Radiology or registration on GMC Specialist Register in Radiology, or within 6 months of achieving CCT at time of interview At least one-year higher level training in paediatric radiology at a recognised training centre Full GMC registration with licence to practice Fellowship in Paediatric imaging Additional postgraduate medical qualification Training in paediatric intervention Experience
General training in Radiology to Specialist Level or equivalent Additional paediatric radiology experience as above CT, MRI and US imaging of paediatric disease in a tertiary centre CT and US interventional skills Ability to make decisions at consultant level Skills and Knowledge
Evidence of leadership, organisational and communication skills to undertake the role in a major teaching hospital Professional practice, interpersonal skills and ability to teach at various levels Clinical governance and experience of clinical audit Interest in research with publications/presentations at national/international meetings Knowledge of NHS organisation and modernisation agenda; management training Postgraduate teaching experience COVID-19:
