The Department of Dermatology at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for a full-time or part-time, tenure or non-tenure, open rank Professor of Dermatology specializing in Mohs Surgery. The Department sees approximately 25,000 visits at its main campus and is looking for a second Mohs surgeon to complement our team of clinicians. A commitment to teaching, clinical excellence, and academic scholarship is essential. Duties include teaching residents and medical students, direct patient care, and participation in scholarly activities.

The University of Virginia Department of Dermatology, founded in 1924, is the oldest dermatology department in the South. Its mission is to improve human health and quality of life through excellent patient care, advancing dermatological knowledge, and fostering professional development in the field.

Qualifications Qualified candidates must have an MD or DO, be ABMS board-certified or board-eligible in dermatology, and fellowship-trained in Mohs Surgery. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Virginia. Rank is dependent on qualifications, experience, scholarly achievement, clinical service, and research.
