PracticeLink Optimus Healthcare is a community health center dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable healthcare to underserved populations. As the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in lower Fairfield County, we are looking for a Physician interested in a meaningful, mission-driven environment committed to caring for others. We are seeking a Family Medicine Medical Director to join our team-based care model, which emphasizes kindness and compassion. The role involves 20% administrative duties and 80% direct patient care. Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chief Medical, Health & Wellness Officer, the Medical Director supports clinical teams and site leadership across all Optimum sites, overseeing daily operations and patient care. The role includes providing clinical guidance, supporting quality initiatives, and serving as the senior clinical authority in the absence of the Chief Medical Officer. The Medical Director will also provide direct patient care in their specialty, with time allocated as follows: 20% administrative duties 80% direct patient care Additional responsibilities include overseeing clinical performance, ensuring quality standards, supporting team-based care, and participating in organizational committees and initiatives. Qualifications include MD or DO degree, license to practice in Connecticut, and completion of a Family Medicine Residency. Experience in community healthcare settings and proficiency with electronic medical records (EPIC preferred) are required. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are desirable.
