Open Rank Faculty- Child Neurology at Augusta University. The Department of Neurology seeks an open-rank full-time faculty member. The successful candidate will develop a robust clinical practice in Pediatric Neurology and will function as part of a treatment team of physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APP), and nurses in the Department of Neurology. This position is non-tenure track. Responsibilities

Teach, provide clinical care, and pursue research activities in an academic environment with pediatric neurologists. Provide clinical duties in the pediatric neurology clinic and inpatient services. Teach medical student courses and clerkships; mentor graduate students and trainees; train pediatric neurology residents, fellows, and medical students; and teach continuing education programs. Develop an independent, extramurally funded research program. Participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the rank, and engage in administrative and committee work; work collegially with other faculty members. Required Qualifications

MD/DO and completion of an ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship in Pediatric Neurology. For

Academic ranks: Assistant Professor - Early career with appropriate post-graduate training. Associate Professor - Mid-level career with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent. Professor - Senior level with at least five years at rank of Associate Professor or equivalent. Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and academic ranks: Consistent with SACSCOC accreditation requirements; Evidence of ability as a teacher; Evidence of scholarly activity and ability in all duties assigned; Successful experience (waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); Desirable personal qualities judged during interview and based on biographical data and recommendations. Shift/Salary/Benefits

This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) is 1.0 and considered full-time. Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and are subject to fund availability. Tuition Assistance Program may be available after 6 months of full-time employment. Rank and salary are determined at hire based on experience, education, credentials, specialty, training, internal equity, and market data.
