This role is based at the Redmond campus with 3 days per week on-site and 2 days per week work from home. The Supplier Strategy Director will own a portfolio of supplier sourcing and contractual engagements, establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and develop and execute supplier sourcing strategies that help meet MSD business outcomes. You will lead supplier strategy, negotiations and contracting, supplier management, and compliance with key stakeholders and partners across the company. Drive key supplier sourcing and selection initiatives with measurable results Manage relationships and engagement with external and internal partners Leverage technology, including Microsoft Copilot and other Microsoft applications, to improve output and efficiency Demonstrate solid business acumen Understand overall supplier strategy including planning, sourcing, and execution Lead a team in defining and implementing supplier strategy for the MSD portfolio of IT engineering and technical services, software, SaaS, networking and hardware Define core goals and work to achieve them Coach, develop, and grow team members aligned with career aspirations Challenge the status quo with a growth mindset and a focus on continuous improvement and customer-centrism Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 9+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations (including internships) OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 7+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations OR equivalent experience 7+ years experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Management, Negotiations, or Program Management Salary ranges: Sourcing and Category Management IC6 – typical base pay USD 130,900 - 277,200 per year in the U.S.; higher ranges apply in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area (USD 165,600 - 303,600).
