Director of Business Management – Industry and Partner Sales (IPS) Strategy & Operations. Reporting to the Senior Director of IPS Strategy and Operations (S&O), you will function as the overarching IPS Business Management Director, partnering with the IPS Chief of Staff, IPS Business Management Community, and IPS Executive Office. You will lead a diverse range of strategic business operational workloads to enable organizational clarity, effectiveness, and impact across teams. Responsibilities

Drives the definition, design, landing and ongoing management of the IPS organizational rhythm of business (ROB). Works with leaders and key business partners to drive key outcomes. Provides direction for identifying and determining objectives to execute which are in alignment with the goals of the organization. Drives business review cadence. Ensures adherence to privacy and compliance. Executes business plans to ensure continuation of business operations at all times, including in adverse conditions, in accordance with corporate governance. Ensures checks and balances are in place for the team to ensure Microsoft’s best interest with regard to strategic partnerships necessary for continuity of business. Strategizes and develops business continuity plans with Microsoft corporate Compliance, Crisis Management and Business Continuity teams. Collaborates with internal stakeholders and Microsoft teams to oversee the creation and implementation of execution plans. Sets best practices for strategy leveraging consolidated information, advocating for business cases, and presents cases to leaders and business partners. Leads and oversees processes to ensure alignment across groups. Establishes KPIs in alignment with strategy to help streamline business strategy. Works with the organization to establish and report against targets, and adjusts targets if necessary. Leverages knowledge of organizational strategy and builds key deliverables for the upcoming year(s) to support the IPS Chief of Staff (CoS) on organization budget and blueprint management. Works in partnership with Finance and key internal business partners to ensure operational excellence across all phases of planning and execution. Identifies actions that can be taken to course-correct and drive performance improvement; anticipates business challenges based on forecasts. Maximizing/ Extending the Leader: Leverages relationships to influence and advise on strategic decisions, content, and/or expertise. Manages and builds relationships with key leaders/business partners. Creates alignment within partnerships by providing an objective point of view, ensuring all voices are heard, synthesizing ideas, and creating an action plan. Maintains alignment with organizational business goals to ensure activities are aligned with strategic objectives. Supports the IPS CoS in key business management areas (e.g., setting goals, priorities, and definitions; team culture and health; communications; budget/finance; industry/specific business knowledge). Synthesizes information into insights to inform decisions and drive execution. Uses people management/influence skills to support related topics as needed. Organizational Health: Monitors team/organization health, supports culture initiatives and onboarding, partners with Human Resources, tracks training compliance, and maintains a healthy compliance scorecard. Identifies development opportunities and capitalizes on team strengths. Special Projects/Programs and Initiatives: Drives cross-team projects to meet changing business needs. Acts as or oversees project/program management to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require cross-functional coordination. Specialty Responsibilities: Prepares targeted communications, develops presentations and messaging related to the team’s mission and key projects. Performs executive-level communication and ensures alignment with business priorities. Proactively sources relevant content for organizational communication. Drives accountability for the team and organization in executing core business activities. Reviews performance and commitments, provides insight for prioritizing performance metrics and forward-looking KPIs, and evangelizes processes from the top levels of the company. Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or related roles OR equivalent experience 6+ years of strategic program and/or project management experience in a technology organization, working across global stakeholders, multiple functions, and complex interdependencies, or related experience Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in a relevant field AND 12+ years of related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field AND 15+ years of related experience OR equivalent experience Analytical and problem-solving skills with solid finance/business acumen Proven ability to assess and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information (e.g., ROI, KPIs, data analytics) and drive execution across multiple workstreams Ability to navigate business, people, and P&L priorities with success across concurrent initiatives Experience building partnerships and influencing stakeholder groups in a large, dynamic, matrixed environment Excellent communication, interpersonal, verbal/written/presentation skills, with attention to detail and ability to influence outcomes Excellent organizational skills Compensation: The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD 130,900 - 277,200 per year, with location-specific variations.
