Orthopedic RN Job Details

• Location: Cleveland, Ohio 44106 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• Unit: Orthopedic (UHC Lerner 6-25495)
• Duration: 13 weeks (October 20, 2025 – January 18, 2026)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1910 - $1960
• On-Site Position

• Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent orthopedic nursing or medical/surgical RN experience
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts
• Completion of onboarding health and background requirements (immunizations, physical, TB/PPD, background checks)
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills

• Orthopedic Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic patients, including pre- and post-operative care
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and clinical progress
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on orthopedic procedures, recovery, and ongoing care needs
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for patients and staff
