PICU Travel Nurse Details
- Location: Mesa, Arizona (85202) – Arizona healthcare jobs
- Facility Setting: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Position Type: Travel RN – Locum Tenens
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 2/16/2026)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 24 per week
- On Call: Schedule determined by facility
- Weekend Schedule: To be determined by facility
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250
PICU RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years (24 months) of recent PICU nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Current BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications required
- No Nursys disciplinary actions
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Flu vaccination required (declinations considered)
- Must not have an Arizona home address on driver\'s license
- Must meet facility-specific background and compliance requirements
- Required documentation: cover page, detailed resume, recent skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification (within 30 days), certifications, and driver\'s license
PICU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
- Educate and support patients\' families throughout the care process
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Adapt to changing patient needs and unit demands in a fast-paced clinical environment
