Overview

Role: ServiceNow Business Analyst

Location: Redwood City, CA Hybrid

Job Purpose

Work with ServiceNow team to specify requirements and/or design solutions for business information systems and incorporate new technical systems to improve workflow, production, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Core Duties

ServiceNow

  • Translate business processes into system requirements and/or development of systems solutions
  • Analyze new business requirements, assist with the feasibility of enhancement requests, system functionality, current system use, and user needs
  • Specify functional analysis and design and work with developers and analysts to recommend solutions and resolve system issues
  • Develop workflow documentation and translate requirements to user stories
  • Define and document test scripts for user acceptance testing and coordinate user acceptance sign-off
  • Perform testing of new ServiceNow development, upgrades, and patching
  • Analyze data and provide data sets to users for analysis. May include development of operational and analytical reports for end-users
  • May develop instructional materials, training and job aids in the form of Knowledge Base Articles
Minimum Education and Experience Required

Bachelors degree and five years relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Major Incident, Asset management, CMDB and Request Management.
  • Proven problem solving and analytical thinking and ability to approach problems logically and systematically
  • Ability to design and document complex business systems.
  • Must have experience of building wireframes for development team
  • Ability to gather and document business requirements, write detailed user stories, and define acceptance criteria using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques used in conducting system analysis
  • Skill in conducting interviews and facilitating group meetings
  • Collaborate with the project team to meet the identified scope and timeline
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to bridge functional and technical resources by communicating effectively with individuals of varying systems expertise and business needs
  • Expertise in designing and delivering ServiceNow Performance Analytics dashboards, reports, and KPIs following ITSM best practices. Ability to define, document, and build reports that align with business goals and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Must have implemented projects related to ServiceNow Now Assist or Predictive Intelligence and related automation technologies
  • Must have implemented projects on any of the following technology ServiceNow Virtual agent, Platform analytics, Workflow datafabric or Employee Center
  • Proficiency in Service Portfolio Management (SPM), Application Portfolio Management (APM), and Service Catalog Management, including creating catalog items, record producers, workflows, and automations using Flow Designer.
Certification

Should have either ServiceNow admin or developer or ITSM implementation certification
