IT Support Specialist
Do you enjoy the challenge of solving technical puzzles and empowering others through technology? We're seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our Engineering and Architectural firm. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring our engineering and architectural staff have the technical resources they need to succeed.
You'll be the go-to person for technical assistance, providing critical support and contributing to a productive and efficient workplace. Your ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues will directly impact the daily operations of our organization.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and efficient remote and in-person technical support to our users.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support inquiries both in person and remote session.
- Position is offered from our Chippewa Falls, WI office; however, our Appleton, WI or Minneapolis, MN office locations may be offered based on applicant’s experience.
- Effectively troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical issues, including hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Configure and deploy new workstations and IT equipment.
- Maintain and update IT documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement and maintain IT systems.
What We're Looking For:
- Approximately two years of proven experience in an IT support role and/or technical degree program.
- Strong technical aptitude and a passion for problem-solving.
- Proficiency in supporting Windows environments and common software applications.
- Basic understanding of networking principles.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
- A customer-focused approach and a commitment to providing exceptional support.
Technical Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Windows desktop, windows server, android and synologyoperating systems.
- Familiarity with network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with Active Directory/Entra and user administration.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A+ or Network+ certification is a plus.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
- Must have M365 in-depth knowledge and administration experience for administration, policy configurations, reporting,
