Richmond, VA 23226 - Premier Virginia healthcare hub with a welcoming community Setting:
Hospital-based Interventional Radiology Unit Shift:
10-hour days, Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:30pm, rotating day off weekly Call:
Twice per month (rotating weekday), plus one 14-hour weekday call and one 24-hour weekend call every 5-6 weeks Hours per Week:
36-40 Start Date:

January 12, 2026 Qualifications - Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state eligibility BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology nursing experience Proficient in cerebral angiogram procedures Experience with Y90, TACE, TIPS, carotid stents, and vertebral stents Ability to administer sedation for all IR cases, including neuro procedures Must pass EKG exam (study guide provided) Non-local candidates only (must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Richmond, VA) Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred Responsibilities - IR RN Healthcare Job
Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Administer sedation and monitor patients during advanced interventional radiology procedures Support a high-volume IR unit with 10-15 angiography cases daily; assist with CT, Ultrasound, and Diagnostic procedures as needed Coordinate patient care and serve as a liaison across hospital departments Champion patient safety and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives Operate Philips monitors and LifePak code cart defibrillator equipment Deliver care to a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics Demonstrate adaptability, strong communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment
