Labor & Delivery - 21-bed unit, approximately 225 births/month Assignment Type:
Travel RN Start Date:
October 20, 2025 End Date:
January 19, 2026 Contract Duration:
13 weeks Shift:
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week:
36 Weekend Requirement:
4 weekend shifts per month Charting Systems:
EPIC and CPN Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience Active New Jersey or Compact RN license (required at submission) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (required), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM); NCC C-EFM preferred Proven experience circulating C-sections and recovering post-delivery patients Ability to float to high-risk antepartum, postpartum, and other women's health units as needed Strong clinical skills in OB assessments and fetal monitoring Professional references required Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit Circulate and recover C-section patients Monitor and assess high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients, including those in ICU, ED, or telemetry units requiring fetal monitoring Float to related women's health units as needed, performing OB assessments and fetal monitoring Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC and CPN charting systems Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Adhere to hospital policies, including floating and weekend shift requirements
