Job Description & Requirements Specialty: MRI Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 10/27/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT (R) and (MR) certification and at least 2 years of clinical experience for evening/night variable shifts. Responsibilities Work in a hospital MRI unit with variable 10-hour shifts, primarily from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM Monday through Friday schedule with variable days and some overnight shifts possible as needed Patient population includes all age groups across various care locations Assignment may require floating to multiple units or locations as staffing needs change Travelers may be scheduled or re-assigned to different units if the primary unit no longer has need Perform technical MRI examinations and complex specialized imaging procedures using a wide variety of equipment and systems Work independently across varying locations with diverse patient populations Participate in equipment maintenance, resolve image processing issues, and assist with image archiving system management Collaborate with staff to organize schedules, triage routine and emergent procedures, and prioritize workflow Participate in the instruction of fellows, residents, and visiting healthcare professionals, and may be involved in clinical research Orientation typically lasts about one week and start dates may vary based on department schedule Holiday and weekend rotation may be required RTO requests reviewed by management, generally no more than two weeks off per contract Requirements Minimum of 2 years clinical MRI experience Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and MRI (MR) required BLS certification through the American Heart Association required License required if applicable Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility Locals not accepted Pass/Fail telemetry exam required prior to start, with up to two attempts permitted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614863.
