The successful candidate will supervise and manage assigned operations engineers across multiple disciplines, providing centralized leadership and guidance in the design and implementation of projects to support the Wastewater Treatment Divisions (WTD) primary mission objectives. Incumbents will ensure standardized cross-plant compliance with approved engineering standards and specifications to provide documented sound engineering practices in basic engineering design tasks. The Engineering Supervisor is a core team member of the divisions Technical Standards Committee, representing Operations interests and providing input/guidance in the development or modification of engineering guide specifications. The successful candidate will proactively engage with other supporting groups and teams within WTD, including Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Management (PSM), and Life Safety Management (LSM) teams in the evaluative analysis and approval of engineering proposals. What You Will Be Doing: Perform the full scope of supervisory responsibilities for WTD Operations multi-disciplinary East-Section Plant Engineering Team. Stakeholders may include several subordinate teams, requiring training, regular feedback, and flexible resource scheduling. Lead a diverse group of engineering experts on multiple projects across plant process systems, ensuring unified alignment with established standards and specifications. Provide technical expertise in evaluation and analysis of complex issues and provide lead oversight and quality control for multiple engineering disciplines. Perform complex work involving wastewater treatment and collections systems, including commissioning, program design, economic analysis, and the preparation, review, and approval of design and contract documents. Collaborate with project design teams to promote reliability and plant/system design concepts in coordination with Maintenance Supervisors. Coordinate with capital stakeholders and make recommendations for equipment, processes, and software/hardware options. Represent O&Ms interests with capital stakeholders in the standardized development, update, and usage of Auto-CAD and Engineering Content Management (ECMS) systems. Qualifications You Must Bring: Bachelor of Science degree in one or more engineering disciplines. Demonstrated experience supervising people and/or managing programs in direct support of enhancing engineering coverage or engineering support elements in a large organization. Knowledge of engineering techniques and principles, including demonstrated skills in applying engineering design/build solutions to address critical problems. Proven ability to communicate and present technical information to non-technical audiences to enable data-driven business decisions. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders including other engineering groups within a large industrial organization. Washington State Drivers License or the ability to provide transportation to remote work locations. Competencies You Bring

Working Conditions
Work Location: Remote/Onsite South Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1200 Monster Rd SW, Renton, WA 98057, USA for the first six months, with the option of migrating to a hybrid schedule (not exceeding 50% remote) depending on business needs. Hybrid/Remote Work Location: Must reside in Washington State and be within reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements. If allowed to work hybrid after the first six months, on-site presence of at least 2 days per week may be required. Work Schedule: 40-hour work week. Exempt from FLSA overtime.
