  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00 - 19:00)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2010 - $2160
  • Patient Ratio: 1:4
  • Parking: Free
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Floating: Required within hospital and to affiliate hospitals
  • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
  • Vehicle Requirement: Must have a vehicle for assignment

Qualifications

  • Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent oncology nursing experience
  • BLS certification required
  • ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification strongly preferred
  • Stem cell transplant experience preferred
  • Experience with Epic charting system required
  • Ability to float between units and affiliate hospitals
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments for oncology patients
  • Provide care and management of ports and central/implanted lines
  • Manage acute oncology emergencies, including tumor lysis syndrome, anaphylaxis, extravasation injury, hemorrhage, sepsis, and spinal cord compression
  • Implement neutropenic precautions and monitor for changes in mental status
  • Support patients experiencing side effects such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, dysphagia, edema, and neuropathy
  • Float to other nursing units and affiliate hospitals as needed
  • Document patient care accurately using the Epic electronic health record system
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
