Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will perform patient care duties within your licensed scope, assist with treatments and procedures, and facilitate patient flow. You will communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members to maintain a high standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out provider orders accurately and timely. Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent is obtained. Notify patients of test results as directed. Document patient complaints, vital signs, and prepare patients for exams. Administer immunizations under supervision, adhering to legal guidelines. Maintain accurate records and manage electronic health documentation. Coordinate referrals and ensure timely processing. Stock exam rooms, manage sample medications, and maintain cleanliness. Practice excellent infection control and participate in special projects as assigned. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program. Licenses and Certifications
Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire. Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques. Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate documentation. Capacity to work collaboratively with healthcare providers and team members.
Work Environment
This part-time position offers 8-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek. The role is based in a regional healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest, providing access to a supportive and community-focused environment.
