Position Overview: The Palletizer Operator operates machines that perform one or more packaging functions such as palletizing, banding, tying, packing, or wrapping containers.

Language Skills: English proficiency required. Spanish is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Amount of Travel Involved: None.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times. Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine. Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor. Cleans the palletizer machines and area. Perform the required testing, monitoring, and recording of packaging checks. Notify Supervisor when material/package quality issues are observed. Before start-up of a new flavor, sweep the line to ensure all containers of the previous flavor have been removed from the cooler, labeler, and case packer areas. Operates the bailing machine. Operates the floor scrubber and cleans the floors. Accurately completes and turn in Labeler and Case Packer Inspection Sheets. General

Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, coworkers, and management. All other duties as assigned. Regular and punctual attendance Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.

Follow Pre-Start Up process - Ensure correct pallets to start. Makes minor adjustments or repairs such as setting guides, adjust rails, or clearing away damaged packaging. Removes broken bottles at the palletizer. Places supplies or product on conveyor, or other feeding devices. Stop production and place the out of specification product on hold. Operates Sentry Palletizer machine for Lines 1, 2, 3 and 4 in "Manual" and "Automatic" operations. Depresses pedal, presses button, or moves lever to clean or operate Sentry Palletizer machine. Sets up and ensures the proper operation of changeover on the Palletizers (Lines 1, 2, 3 and 4). Adjusts case turners and rails. Operates Sentry and Wyred Palletizer machines for all production lines in "Manual" and "Automatic" operations. Experience for Success:

Must be computer literate. Must be proactive. Must have a cooperative attitude. Must have the ability to follow-up. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) required. Three months of experience in a bottling facility preferred. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Behaviors & Competencies:

The employee is regularly required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, pull, lift, pick/pinch, or grasp. The employee must frequently lift and /or move 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The employee is required to have the ability to adjust focus and able to see objects in close range.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to forklifts. Employee is occasionally exposed to electrical currents, fumes, or chemicals. Employee is regularly exposed to changes in production facility temperature based on environmental conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
