$1,740-$1,860 Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia or compact state) BLS certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum of 2 years recent bedside clinical experience in Med/Surg or acute care PCU/Critical Care experience highly desired Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and deliver direct patient care using the nursing process Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission Communicate changes in patient status to care team members to ensure continuity and safety Supervise and delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to hospital safety policies Contribute positively to team building and a supportive healthcare work environment Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed following orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education for nursing professionals
