• Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Medical Surgical Oncology Unit
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens, Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Dates: 10/20/2025, 11/3/2025, 11/17/2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780-$1910
• Patient Ratio: 1:6/7 (team nursing model)
• Weekend & On-Call: As needed
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
• Local Candidates: Must reside at least 100 miles from facility

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent Oncology Med Surg RN experience (3 years preferred)
• At least 1 completed previous travel nursing assignment
• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (NLC compliance required)
• BLS certification (current)
• Experience in Level I Trauma Center or large hospital required
• ONC certification preferred
• Cerner EMR charting experience preferred
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps
• Pending licenses not accepted
• First-time travelers accepted only with 3 years recent experience

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology and medical-surgical patients in an acute care setting
• Collaborate within a team nursing model to manage patient ratios of 1:6/7
• Float between similar units and campuses within 20 miles as needed
• Accurately document patient care and interventions using Cerner EMR
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning
• Follow facility protocols, including vaccination and compliance requirements
• Support patients and families throughout their oncology treatment journey
