NICU RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel (locum tenens) Registered Nurse position
• Location: Memphis, TN 38103 – Tennessee nursing jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Level IV NICU, Children’s Hospital, Pediatric Trauma Center
• Start Dates: 9/8/2025, 9/22/2025, 10/6/2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend & Holiday Requirement: As needed; must be willing to work holidays
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780-$1910
  
  

NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Level IV NICU RN experience (required for travel nurse jobs)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state (NLC guidelines)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• At least 1 completed previous travel nursing assignment preferred
• Current BLS certification (must remain valid throughout assignment)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions permitted)
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (no local candidates for this Memphis healthcare job)
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• All requested time off must be submitted at application
• First-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of NICU RN experience
  
  

NICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level IV NICU environment
• Attend high-risk deliveries and serve as the resuscitation nurse for newborns
• Care for well babies and perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float between similar units and campuses within 20 miles as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and infection control standards
