• End Date: January 16, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 4 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Patient Ratios: Average 1:6 (days and nights)
• Orientation: 36 hours provided
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,990 – $2,130

ER RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Connecticut RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 18 months of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (2 years preferred; 1.5 years accepted with Level I Trauma or travel nurse experience)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC (or TNS), NIHSS, CPI*, ENPC*, PALS*
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center required
• At least 1 professional reference required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Local candidates (within 75 miles) not accepted

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a busy ER setting
• Manage patient loads with an average nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Utilize advanced clinical skills: continuous IV sedation, ICP monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, ventilated patient care, and PA line management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Float within scope to meet facility needs (excluding trauma/rescue rooms, triage, and locked behavioral health units)
• Document patient care using Epic EMR system
• Participate in orientation and complete required modules prior to start and annually
