Travel CVOR RN Job Details

  • Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80907 (Colorado nursing jobs)
  • Facility Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
  • Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse
  • Assignment Start Date: October 20, 2025
  • Assignment End Date: January 17, 2026
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 10-hour day shifts (06:30 – 17:00)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,280 - $2,450
  • On-call Requirement: One weekday per week, one weekend (Friday-Sunday) every 4 weeks
  • Weekend Requirement: No regular weekends

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (CO single state or Nursys RN Compact License)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR RN experience
  • At least 1 year of travel nursing experience in the United States
  • Ability to circulate in the general operating room (OR)
  • Willingness to float to other Centura Health locations within 60 miles as needed

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team and patients/families to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
  • Promote optimal health, well-being, and patient safety through the nursing process and adherence to clinical standards
  • Assess and evaluate patient responses, intervening to ensure the best outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrate proficiency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IV therapy, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection
  • Provide patient and family education, assess learning readiness, and evaluate educational effectiveness
  • Deliver compassionate, culturally competent care tailored to patient preferences
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to non-RN personnel
  • Serve as a professional role model, mentor new staff, and pursue ongoing professional development
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and nursing research initiatives
