NICU RN Job Details

• Location: Edmonds, WA 98026 (Seattle metro area)
• Healthcare Setting: Level II NICU (Special Care Nursery)
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week)
• Patient Ratio: 1:3
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experience in a hospital setting
• Active Washington RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications
• Experience with Level II NICU admissions and care for newborns 32 weeks gestation or greater
• Proficiency in CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tubes, syringe pumps, and neonatal dosage calculations
• Ability to attend and assist with vaginal and cesarean high-risk deliveries
• Skilled in placement and management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply
  
  

NICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized neonatal nursing care in a Level II NICU environment
• Attend and assist with all deliveries, including high-risk cases
• Administer and manage CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tubes, and syringe pumps for newborns
• Monitor, document, and report patient status, interventions, and outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate and support families throughout the NICU stay
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards
