Job Details: Travel Stepdown RN with a focus on patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical or general inpatient units, offering competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and clinical team support.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; responds to abnormalities
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Maintains patient comfort and safety; observes patients and documents conditions
• Notifies supervisors or physicians of patient status and response to interventions
• Responds to life-saving situations per cardiac care policies and protocols
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality
• Performs other duties within the scope of practice
• Adheres to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Required: One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Required: Current RN license in the state regulations
• Required: BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Required: ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

• English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills
• Physical ability to remain stationary and move equipment (50–100 lbs); push/pull and bend as needed

• Technical/motor skills to assist with procedures and use department equipment
• Ability to cope with deadlines, irregular schedules, and concentration under pressure
• Visual acuity and effective communication skills
