Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Neurology Unit – Comprehensive Stroke Center & Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Employment Type: Travel RN (locum tenens)
• Start Date: October 13, 2025
• End Date: January 10, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/evenings/nights), including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Minimum 2 years of recent neuro nursing or telemetry experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute and complex neurological conditions
• Monitor and assess patients using advanced technology, including continuous video EEG
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Apply critical thinking skills to respond to rapidly changing patient needs in a clinical setting
• Participate in on-call, charge, and callback duties as required
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and clinical support
