• Unit: WCC7 Medical Oncology (30-bed unit)
• Start Date: October 13, 2025
• End Date: January 10, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night), including weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250 - $2310

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in New York State
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (preferably in oncology or medical-surgical settings)
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Chemo certification required (Oncology Nursing Society or equivalent)
• Ability to obtain TB skin test as required for healthcare jobs in New York

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to adult hematology-oncology patients throughout all stages of cancer treatment
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry data to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Administer chemotherapy and other specialized oncology treatments in accordance with clinical protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate and support patients and families regarding cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and symptom management
• Participate in rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as required by the medical oncology unit
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards for nursing jobs in New York
