ER RN Job Details

• Position Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Location: Rochester, NY 14621 (New York nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Room (ER)
• Start Date: November 25, 2025
• End Date: February 24, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12 Hour Rotating (Day: 07:00–19:00 / Night: 19:00–07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2000-$2060
• Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics
• Charting System: Epic (Epic EMR experience required)
• Orientation: 24 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse license (NY RN license)
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: PALS, TNCC
• Epic charting experience required
• Availability for holiday shifts
• First-time travel nurses accepted
• Must reside more than 75 miles from Rochester, NY
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to adult and geriatric patients
• Perform triage, patient assessment, and rapid response interventions
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and blood product administration
• Administer IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation
• Provide care for trauma, neuro-trauma, STEMI, stroke, and other emergency diagnoses
• Operate specialized equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling devices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control standards
