Locum Tenens Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor – Night Shift in Chicago, IL. Lead nursing teams at a Level 1 Trauma Center in the Medical District on a travel nursing contract.

Job Details

• Job Title: Locum Tenens Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor – Night Shift
• Location: Chicago, IL 60612 (Medical District)
• Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Contract Dates: October 14, 2025 – January 13, 2026 (13 weeks)
• Shift Schedule: Night shifts (various 12- and 10-hour shifts), alternating as needed
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours (Guaranteed minimum 30 hours)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020–$2070
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)
• Mandatory Float: Within 50 miles as needed
• Scrub Color: Ceil Blue (not provided)
• Charting System: Cerner
• Parking: $2/day at JTDC with shuttle service

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required at submission)
• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience
• At least 3 years of nursing supervision, management, or hospital administration experience
• Proven ability to manage staffing shortages, patient flow, and facility emergencies
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Strong compliance and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff across multiple hospital units
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for clinical support
• Resolve patient flow issues and respond to facility emergencies
• Float to various units as needed, including outside primary specialty
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations
• Promote a positive, collaborative work environment among healthcare professionals
