Construction Estimator (Bryn Mawr)

Large Commercial flooring company is looking for an estimator and project manager. Must be proficient in construction plan reading and takeoffs. CAD experience a plus. Responsibilities to include plan take offs, costing, estimating, project documentation and administrative office support. This is a full time opportunity to work in suburban main line area. Immediate opening is available.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for accurately estimating project costs and managing awarded jobs through to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a background in construction or flooring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural drawings, jobsite measurements, and specifications to prepare accurate takeoffs and proposals.
• Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to calculate total project cost.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients and internal teams during project execution.
• Coordinate labor, materials, deliveries, and subcontractors to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues, and proactively resolve them.
• Track change orders and ensure all work is documented and billed appropriately.
• Perform post-project reviews to evaluate efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of construction documents, materials, and project workflows
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate takeoffs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in flooring or finish trades
• Experience with job costing and budget tracking
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., RFMS, MeasureSquare, or Bluebeam)
