As a key leader as Controller, you'll managing budgets, payroll, reporting, and technology with precision. Key Responsibilities of Controller: Direct preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
Oversee payroll, accounts payable, audits, and fund accounting functions.
Lead annual audit process and implement corrective actions as needed.
Manage investment accounts, reconciliations, and reporting.
Provide accurate financial analysis and reports to senior leadership and the Board.
Partner with leadership to strengthen financial systems, controls, and long-term planning.
Supervise and mentor finance team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications of Controller: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with leadership responsibilities in Nonprofit environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, audits, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Experience managing investments and working with external auditors.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
