General Description

This class provides support of one or more information technology areas, including issuing, tracking, and maintaining phones and mobile data devices (Modems and/or MiFi's). This class is considered essential personnel and also available for on-call support outside of regular business hours or work schedule.
Examples of Duties

Issues, tracks, maintains, and resolves problems associated with applicable information technology resources in assigned area of responsibility.

Initiates, processes, and reviews routine and/or specialized paperwork, forms, reports, and/or confidential information related to assigned area of responsibility, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information; maintains related records.

Responds to telephone, e-mail, written, and in-person inquiries from employees and departments within the Agency, and/or other interested parties; provides answers and information requiring knowledge of area of responsibility.

Prepares, organizes, analyzes, and presents technical reports, spreadsheets, special studies, research activities, and related correspondence on complex administrative matters in support of division, department, and agency goals and objectives.

Assists in coordinating assignments and office priorities to meet and/or maintain critical deadlines.

Organizes, monitors and maintains inventory, supplies, equipment, and/or other related items; initiates service and/or repairs of applicable items.

Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Typical Qualifications

High School Diploma (G.E.D.), basic math and reading skills, AND three (3) years of relative experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Physical Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
