Job title: Phlebotomy Supervisor — Emerson Health

Under the general direction of the Administrative Director of Laboratory and the Pathologists, coordinates and directs all Phlebotomy and blood specimen collection services for inpatient, outpatient, nursing home, home care, and offsite phlebotomy locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct phlebotomy and blood specimen collection services across inpatient, outpatient, nursing home, home care, and offsite locations.

Minimum qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Certified Phlebotomy Training Course completion and certificate strongly preferred. Associate’s degree in a science or healthcare related field preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of five years experience in Phlebotomy required. Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Licensure and/or Certification: Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Skills: Good organizational skills; ability to multi-task; ability to read, write, and communicate in English; effective interpersonal skills; strong leadership skills; great customer service skills; computer proficiency (including MS Word, Outlook, Meditech strongly preferred); ability to maintain confidential information.
