Responsibilities
- Drive UPS brown trucks, delivering packages to customers at homes and businesses in your community and beyond.
- Operate in a fast-paced outdoor environment and maintain professional conduct as a driver and customer-facing employee.
- Lift up to 70 lbs. and handle packages of various sizes.
- Wear the company-provided uniform and comply with UPS appearance guidelines.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license (no CDL required; license type varies by state).
- Pass the DOT physical.
- Excellent customer service and driving skills.
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
Employment details
- Full-time casual package delivery drivers work eight to ten hours per day; workdays can vary (Monday - Friday) or (Tuesday - Saturday) depending on business needs.
- Seasonal role with potential for permanent placement; for permanent, full-time delivery drivers, the compensation package is described as an average of $145,000 per year, including benefits such as healthcare premiums, paid vacation, holidays, sick leave, and pension contributions.
