What this role involves: delivering packages in brown UPS trucks, providing friendly customer service, and working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver packages to homes and businesses in your community and beyond.
- Lift up to 70 lbs.
- Operate a vehicle safely and comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform.
Qualifications
- Valid driver license (no CDL required; license type varies by state).
- Pass the DOT physical.
- Excellent customer service and driving skills.
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
Work Schedule and Type
- Full-time casual package delivery drivers work eight to ten hours per day. Workdays can vary (Monday - Friday) or (Tuesday - Saturday) depending on business needs.
- This is a seasonal role with potential path to a permanent role.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base pay for this position is $23.00/hour.
- Excellent weekly pay; growth opportunities; extensive training.
- Permanent, full-time delivery drivers receive a total compensation package of about $145,000/year, including health coverage options and paid time off; UPS contributes to a defined-benefit pension plan.
