Job Summary

The housekeeping staff is responsible for ensuring timely completion of custodial operations specific to the Food & Beverage areas at Amerant Bank Arena. Responsibilities include proper use and handling of cleaning products, chemicals, equipment, inventory control and quality assurance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures concessions stands are properly cleaned and sanitized after every event.
  • Safely operates and maintains all types of cleaning machinery and equipment.
  • Ensures proper use of cleaning chemicals and agents.
  • Conducts building inspections.
  • Performs cleaning/maintenance duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
  • Removes trash from premises.
  • Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
  • Maintains sanitation and cleaning supplies for assigned areas and ensures equipment is in good working condition.
  • Cleans restrooms, sweeps and mops floors as applicable; refills dispensers; reports discrepancies to the manager.
  • Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures (e.g., heat, cold).
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to walk and climb stairs; navigate the property as required.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 3 ft.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with management and peers.
  • Ability to use new equipment safely and follow procedures.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset with eagerness to learn.
  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
