Overview

Forklift Operator FT — 3rd Shift (Sun 11pm, Tue-Fri 2am, 8–10 hours per day) — Wheeling, IL

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for Full-time Forklift Operators at our Wheeling, IL service center. You will move various types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long, operating a forklift on a roofed but non-climate-controlled dock.

Responsibilities

• Move freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers (up to 53’ long).
• Operate a forklift on a roofed dock that is non-climate-controlled.
• Read manifests and interact with computer displays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to read manifests and interact with a computer display.
• Forklift experience required.
• Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Previous forklift experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Some LTL experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay from $26.23 per hour. PTO after the first 90 calendar days. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, 401(k) with company matching, paid vacation and holidays, and access to exclusive employee resort locations.
