This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the strategic marketing plan for the organization. This position reports directly to the VP of Sales Operations. The Marketing Manager will ensure compliance with brand guidelines and brand identity, direct content creation, explore new opportunities, and manage all external and internal marketing resources. This individual must maintain awareness of external industry and staffing company trends, challenges, and opportunities. They should demonstrate the ability to align internal Skillwork culture, values, and strategic objectives with external opportunities to enable our growth objectives.

The duties of this role include managing a variety of resources, tools, and processes that support the overall strategic marketing objectives. The Marketing Manager will work closely with both Sales Leadership and Operations Leadership to develop this overall strategy and the ongoing initiatives associated with it. Additionally, they work closely with the Sales Team to support aspects of planning and execution for trade shows and will be responsible for collaboration in coordination of all promotional activities for these efforts. Other areas of responsibility include management of content strategy and production, online and print content creation, job board advertising and candidate inflow strategy, and effective communication and engagement with target audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, working to ensure our investments in this area are strategic and well spent.
  • Work directly with the Sales Leadership to understand, develop, and facilitate the marketing strategy aimed at potential and existing client opportunities, as well as ongoing engagement with this audience.
  • Work closely with Operations Leadership to understand, develop, and facilitate the marketing strategy aimed at candidate inflow, job board advertising, and ongoing engagement with this audience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Talent, Operations and Leadership teams.
  • Collaboration in all promotional activities and campaigns for trade shows, conferences, and other external events as needed.
  • Assess ROI of promotional and marketing efforts, lessons learned and recommend changes to future events.
  • Edit post-production deliveries to assure on-brand messaging, content quality, and timely posting to targeted external platforms.
  • Manage related projects and relationships with our external marketing partners and vendors.
  • Oversee digital marketing, SEO/SEM, paid media, email and social, while ensuring timely and professional responses to digital engagements as needed.
  • Drive content strategy: blogs, newsletters, case studies and thought leadership.
  • Analyze performance metrics and optimize campaigns for ROI.
  • Manage and update company website, sales materials, and all marketing collateral.
  • Direct all content creation and management in alignment with brand identity and standards.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years in marketing strategy and execution, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Ability to work in computer-based systems, manage databases, develop and execute project-based tools and deliverables, and leverage data to help drive business decisions.
  • Great organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional ability in written and verbal communication, leadership and project management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and thorough problem-solving capabilities.
  • Team player – willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
  • High integrity and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
  • Strong command of digital tools including MS Office/365 applications, social media platforms, Google Ads, HubSpot or similar CRM, and workflow coordination tools.
  • Ability to engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, or related fields (MBA a plus).
  • Experience in the Staffing Industry, Skilled Trades or with an emerging or start-up company.
  • Ability to gather, interrogate, and assess analytics from social media platforms.
  • Able to contribute to and provide measurement of revenue growth based on strategic marketing efforts.

Salary Range

$75,000 to $100,000
