Our small manufacturing client in Mundelein, IL is seeking a temporary or temp to hire HR Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience with processing payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations. It’s also a plus to have used ADP. This is the sole HR professional for the organization. The job is full-time standard hours and 100% in the office. Please apply for immediate consideration.

$30.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll, 401k contributions, and monthly expense reports
• Administer benefits programs, including open enrollment and employee inquiries
• Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations and HR policies
• Manage recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and terminations
• Maintain and audit employee records in ADP Workforce Now & HR Works
• Partner with the Controller on reporting, audits, and compliance needs
• Support employee communications and company culture initiatives

Annual / Project-based responsibilities

• Support budgeting, compliance, OSHA, and audit reporting
• Administer performance reviews and assist managers with the process
• Update job descriptions, org charts, and employee handbook
• Implement process improvements in partnership with leadership
• Coordinate company events and office operations (supplies, communications, etc.)
• Partner with the global HR Director on projects and policy rollouts

Requirements

• Proven HR generalist or HR manager experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with payroll and benefits administration
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and employee relations
• ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a sole HR role
