Food & Beverage Team – Starbucks Barista

The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They are experts of operations, process and efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food and Beverage areas of the store.

Role Summary: As a Starbucks Barista, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences, prepare handcrafted beverages and food, and uphold Starbucks and Target standards, including food safety and quality controls. You will support guest services and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by preparing quality handcrafted beverages and food to guests during all hours of operation, prioritizing guest needs.
• Uphold Food & Beverage standards, Starbucks brand standards, and food safety requirements.
• Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, stocking, zoning, inventor y accuracy, labeling, and backstock management.
• Maintain awareness of promotional activities and ensure accurate execution of promotions.
• Follow Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent guest experience while driving efficiency and maintaining safety.
• Support Drive Up and digital order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain an inviting dining area and engage with guests to meet and exceed expectations.
• Produce items to production specifications and follow department routines; monitor temperature-sensitive items and complete cleaning tasks as outlined.
• Follow packaging, labeling, and safety guidelines; identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process accordingly.
• Maintain accurate in-stock levels and perishable inventory records; execute sampling and loyalty to guest experience.
• Assist with back-up cashiering, order pickup, and drive-up duties while adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Basic Requirements

• Previous Starbucks/food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Welcoming attitude toward guests and team members; ability to communicate using multiple devices and handheld scanners.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong attention to detail and the ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Capable of remaining composed in a fast-paced environment and completing tasks within set timeframes.
• Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 44 pounds; climb ladders; work in varied temperatures and environments as needed.
