Salary Range : $6432.00 - $6843.00
Position Summary The Barowsky School of Business is seeking a part-time instructor to teach an MS Accounting course during the spring of 2026. The course is seven to eight weeks with remote instruction on Mondays and in-person, on-campus instruction on four Saturdays.
Responsibilities
Teach a three-unit course at the graduate level
Evaluate and grade student work and provide feedback to students
Mentor and advise students on the progress of their projects and coursework
Uphold academic performance standards and integrity
Instructors are required to work with the School to complete assessments of their course for AACSB Assurance of Learning purposes
Course Description MSA-5608 Auditing Analytics and Risk Management (3/28/2026-5/09/2026; Mondays online from 7-9:40 pm and four Saturdays on-campus from 8:00 am-12:30 pm) -- The focus of this course is to apply data analytics to auditing and risk management for increased quality and efficiency. This new insight-driven audit course covers both internal audit and the assurance service. For a hands-on experience, this course will use software such as Tableau.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in accounting or business with an emphasis on accounting, auditing, or a closely related field.
Experience teaching accounting courses.
Experience with data analytics or willingness to embed analytics in teaching auditing courses.
Experience with Google Suite: Docs, Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, and Slides
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with Tableau
Experience with Zoom and use of a Digital Camera
California resident and able to work in the United States legally
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in accounting and/or evidence of having passed the CPA exams.
Experience teaching auditing analytics at the MBA or graduate level.
Working experience in the financial industry.
