Job Location: Main Campus - SAN RAFAEL, CA Position Type: Faculty - Adjunct Salary Range: $2031.00 - $2697.00 Salary Position Summary
Dominican is seeking an accomplished writer to mentor graduate students in our MFA Creative Writing Program. Our low residency program pairs students to work one-on-one with writing mentors through semester-long courses in creative writing. Mentors guide students in developing the craft and aesthetic vision of their creative writing. Responsibilities
Lead a six-unit writing mentorship that includes both reading and writing assignments tailored to student interest and genre. Evaluate and grade student work and provide feedback to students Mentor and advise students on the progress of their projects and coursework Uphold academic performance standards and integrity Required Qualifications
Master\'s Degree A graduate degree in English, Creative Writing or a related field. Experience teaching creative writing. Two books of creative writing (poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction) published with national presses or equivalent professional accomplishments. Must be able to travel to campus regularly or be a resident of California Preferred Qualifications
One book published in the genre of the mentorship Experience teaching adults or graduate students Experience in publishing or editing literary works Additional Position Information
