Hope and Recovery Center, 2581 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11208, USA The Fee-for-Service counselor provides direct clinical services to individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders in accordance with OASAS regulations and agency policies. Services may include intake, assessments, individual and group counseling, treatment planning, and documentation required for billing and compliance. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. Conduct intake, screening, and biopsychosocial assessment as assigned. Facilitate individual, group and family counseling sessions as appropriate to scope of practice. Develop, update and review individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients. Provide crisis intervention, relapse prevention, and recovery support strategies. Document all services in the electronic health record (EHR) within 48 hours of service with OASAS/Medicaid billing requirement. Participate in case reviews, supervision and team meetings. Maintain required certifications, licenses, and continuing education. Collaborate with peers, medical staff, and external providers to support integrated care. Ability to prioritize, think logically and follow procedures and instructions. Ability to effectively communicate and interact with auditors, regulatory bodies, clients, staff, colleagues, public, other agencies and their staff and third-party insurance personnel. Job Knowledge
Must have an excellent understanding of state and city OASAS/DOH/ OMH regulations. Superior written and verbal communication skills are a must. Successful track record of leading diverse interdisciplinary staff is essential. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders preferred. Knowledge OASAS part 822 regulations and Medicaid FSS billing strongly preferred Strong clinical, documentation, and organization skills Ability to work independently and maintain a flexible schedule.
